To debadge or Not

Hey i have a 04 White g35 coupe and i was wondering if i should debadge the infiniti letters along with the g35 letters and just let the infiniti emblem on. I've seen some cars that are debadged and it just looks like something is missing. Maybe its just me because im use to seeing the letters at the back. But When i look at my car with all its letters it just looks like theres too much letters going on in the back. yet if debadged it looks like something is missing. What is the general consensus here? Does debadging look better or leaving the letters look better? I need your opinions because i cant decide. I dont plan on adding any new badging either for my car if i debadge it. So its either debadge and leave the back with just the emblem or leave it the way it is. What do u guys think look better? My car is white.

i had the same thoughts as you do, and i debaged the infiniti and the g35, left the infiniti logo on, i think it looks clean and just right, without having it look like something's missing.

NOT! it looks like the car was in an accident and the body shop forgot to install the lettering.

check it out, i like #2 or 8 personally.. Prolly end up doing #2 really soon myself.

And it's of course easy to go from 2->8 if you so wanted.

Re: To debadge or Not

I also have an IP coupe and when I was rebadging, I took off just the g35 emblem and left the infiniti & Mt. Fuji on there. IMO that looks really good. Doesn't look really busy anymore, but doesn't look like it "just got back from the shop." I left it like that for a week or so before changing to skyline badges.... Its all personal preference.....

Re: To debadge or Not

Mine is "#2" too ... debadged G35 emblem and dealer sticker. Looks sleeker and more balanced ... like any sports car should.

dealer sticker? dealers still put those on cars?

You should get a discount for advertising for them.

Re: To debadge or Not

I agree. That's why I never have them on ... to include their cheap license plate brackets.

Cool

I ouldn't get wizawuza's link to open. This is a rear pic of Daniel_G's ride. He removed the lettering, but kept the emblem. He said it was difficult to Zaino around them.

thanks shooter, your G looks great. I'll start with removing the G35, which really throws off the symmetry, and then decide on the I N F I N I T I letters.
