How To Use CaLi Car Duster Properly?

ive been having piles and piles of pollen and dust set on my car the day after i wash my car! so i decided to give the caliduster a try. i dont want to scratch my paint and drag the dust all over the place.. so method do you peolple use to avoid that?

Also.. how should i clean the duster after use? should i wash it? or just shake the dust off?

I normally use the Cali Duster everyday to remove dust and pollen that has stuck to the car the day before. I use it in the morning before leaving for work, and sometimes even when I get home too. After two or three brushes shake off all the dust.

So far I haven't noticed any scratches, and it seems to work better after using it for over 2 months now. At first you may notice waxy streaks from the first few uses, but that goes away after using it a few times. I have heard that you shouldn't wash it, or put it in the washing machine. Some people have used the same duster for years without problems. Good luck with this great product.

Use the duster daily, but only to remove light dust, not dirt. Don’t press down when you dust the surface and you should be fine. AFAIK, you’re not supposed to wash it at all, in the beginning it definitely works better as it gets dirtier.

I just shake it off too. The instructions on the duster state this. Love it!

I love it as well and have not seen anything on my black G. The rule is to either use the duster daily or dont use it at all and just wash.

Not to hijack the thread, but is there any advantage of using cali duster over a clean microfiber towel to take dust out?

the duster can definately cover a lot more area than a microfiber.. that i know

but i use the duster every morning while i'm warming up the car. it's a pretty good time to do so since i have to wait anyway.

Is the cali duster more/less/just as "tender" to the G when compared to a Microfiber towel?

BTW, someone in this forum suggested to warm up the engine by driving really slowly around the parking lot instead of just leaving it there.
