Help w/ Meguiar's Quick Detailer
Help w/ Meguiar's Quick Detailer
I just bought the Meguiar's QuickDetailer, spray and wipe thing....
I just got a polen "drop", one of those yellow spot. I decided to give the quick
detailer a try, sprayed it on, wiped it with a microfiber towel.
Now ... yes, the yellow spot is gone, but I now can see a bunch of little scratches. :-/
Am I being too picky about the little cratches and everyone's got them, or I am doing something wrong when trying to clean ??

Are you sure the scratches weren't there before you used the quick detailer?
If you had never looked really close before (like you were when trying to see if it took the pollen drop away) you may not have noticed there scratches.
Also, as BlackOnBlack said, you don't want to use the quik detailer if the car is overly dirty. Rubbing of any kind when it's dirty will gouge the paint.

I don't use any kind of quick detailer unless the car has been washed first.
It's nice that Meguiars thinks it's okay, but that does nothing for me once my paint is trashed.
I look at the quick detailers, quick waxes, whatever as a short cut to waxing when you don't have time to do the real deal. The wash still comes first.

Meguiars is a good product as is Zaino Z-6 that I use now.

You should always wet or wash the car to et the dirt off or it's just goin to give you little scratches. Try using Meguiars Clear Coat Stain remover (Or somthing like that) and rub it in and wipe off. Do this a few times and it should remove it or make it less noticeable. A nice wax after that would be good too
