How do I apply Crystal Wax?

I had read in one of the threads that you can use a gravity feeder with a compresor. What is a gravity feeder and is their another name it goes by. I went to ebay and they didn't have any which was quite strange to me. Thanks

Re: How do I apply Crystal Wax?

There are two types of Crystal Guard. One comes in a spray bottle which you just squirt on wetted surface then pat off.

The product you refer to is the three step process which is applied with a gravity feed spray gun. This is a standard auto painting apparatus that can be bought at Home Depot as well as any auto paint supply store.

You have to decide whether the product is worth it to spend the money to apply the 3 step product. I myself have purchased the spray on variety first and plan to see how well it works and how long it lasts.

If it holds up as good as everyone says then I will buy the 3 step product which is supposed to last even longer. I have received the spray bottle of Crystal Guard but unfortunately haven't had time to use it yet. Perhaps this Sunday.

the Pro 3-step can be used with a cleaned windex spray bottle, its best to use the gravity feed spray because it is a much more even mist and far better coverage efficiency as well

Re: How do I apply Crystal Wax?

I did the 3 step process using a normal spray bottle. It seemed to work ok, but I used a lot more. They say you only need 1/2 bottle when using the gravity gun, but I used nearly the whole bottle and the coverage wasn't nearly as fine and even. For a once/year process however, I just couldn't justify the money on the spray gun and air compressor.
