Me vs Parking lot

It finally happened. I hit the pole.
While backing out of the parking garage under my office, I swung the car to the left prematurely, driving my right front into the parking beam. I heard a thump so I new I made contact. Upon inspection, it looks like the soft plastic part from the center of wheel to the front pushed in, then expanded back to normal. There are 6-7 scrape lines from the concrete pole. Why they don't wrap these in rubber I don't know.
Good news is no dents but can anyone experienced help me?
1) Do I try to polish it out & with what?
2) Should I use claybar?
3) Should I take it to a shop?

I really didn't look at it closely as the shock & pain was too great plus it is kind of a low light situation. My sedan is DG with the black trim.
Any help would be appreciated along with sympathy.

Ok, after further inspection, it is only the plastic part of the bumper, not the metal. Here are 3 pics I just took. Sorry for the low light but all I had was the flash which makes it look worse.

i saw get it repaired and repainted. or better yet - replaced. that's what insurance is for.

OR - get an aftermarket body kit?

If they are scratches, you will have to have those sanded out and repainted. If it is just a paint scuff, you may be able to get those out with rubbing compound.

It looks scratched to me. Will probably costs about $500 to have bumper repainted. I'd just pay to have it done. Don't get insurance involved if you don't have to.

Good Luck
