So here's my problem. I have to park my car outside, it's black, and I want to preserve the paint. I have the Infiniti car cover, but it's so thin, that when I'm trying to put it on, a slight breeze will blow it off the car. I get the feeling that having it slide around on my car(possible cause for swirl marks) is doing more damage than good. Also, I noticed that 2 things when it comes to water protection. Water seems to seep through, and what water it does block off, beads up, and just rolls off on my car after I remove it. Am I better off leaving the car out with no cover (I wash it every week), or use the cover?
Leave it off and wax it more often. Tint the glass if you have not already done so, to cut down on the UV to the leather and get one of those sunshades for the windshield.

It's not the sun I'm afraid of. From where I live, there is a lot of moisture. I just want to keep the car as dry as possible. Maybe I just take the extra effort to wipe the car dry on those extra wet mornings. So, I might have an Infiniti car cover for sale soon. Any takers?
Can't be any wetter than South Florida. Anyway the moisture trapped under the cover is worst than letting it just run off.

No doubt. That's what I realized. And it makes the rear windows all foggy and gross

i have some advice dude, go to your nearest sporting goods store and buy some water repellent spray that is used for outdoor tents. I've used it before when camping, works great, its a silicone spray that makes water bead off, kinda like RainX does for windshields, except this stuff works on fabric and such (be sure to read the label for full instructions, always spot-test these type of products.)

I use my infinity cover everyday. Mine slides around a lot also because I wax my G every other week. The trick is to put your mirrors in their slots first then work the corners. You still have to keep a hand on at all times.
It take 2-3 minutes to put on or take off, including the lock. I was having to wash my car every other day before I started using it. It lets water in but I think it kind of filters the dirt from rain out because my car is still clean after a shower or too.
