Tree Sap on Clear Bra

Tree Sap on Clear Bra
I just wanted to post this here since everyone knows about detailing more around here.
I got tree sap stains embedded into my clear bra, the whole hood it covered in the stains. Water and a towel wouldnt get them off. I am this close from ripping the bra right off because I dont want a bra with yellow stains all over it. Im gonna try getting a clay bar from autozone later today, but I wanna know what else can i do???

Don't bother with the clay bar.
First buy some "bug and tar remover", then buy a towel with rough edges...Target sells one specifically for bug and tar removal...made by vroom or something
If you can't find it, just use a normal cotten/microfiber towell, and use your finger nails thru the towel (so you dont scratch it). Work from diff angles, and eventually yuo should get it all.

I just went to my car to see how it was, it was still stained. I tried as much as I could with a towel and spit to get it off didnt work. When you run your hands over the stain on the clear bra you dont feel anything. Its really really lame, how this could have stained in so bad in 2 minutes after the sap landed and when I parked. I have a yellow hood now which is totally lame

I would use some bug and tar remover first, then wash the area you applied it to immediately. Sometimes that stuff can be really harsh to a clear coat even though they say it isn't. After you wash, I'd recommend you claybar the entire car and get some sealant/wax on it. Yes.. You can claybar the clearbra. It won't hurt it.
Can you "swirl" the clearbra? Good question. I'd say it may swirl just as plastics do but I think it would be really tough. Maybe if you used an orbital on it and let it sit in one spot for a while.
Good Luck!
