Ugly MW Sticker on my car

Hey guys - I am looking for some info on how to remove the ugly "MW" sticker - Motorwerks that is on my trunk. The dealer placed this sticker/decal on my car when I purchased it and I would like to take it off without damaging the paint. Any ideas?
I thought of using a hair dryer and heating it up and trying to peel it off...the sticker/decal is made out of metal cause it bends and does not peel like an ordinary sticker.

Thanks for the advice

It's probably not metal at all, but cheap plastic. Use your hair dryer, and then blast the bastards that put it on......

Note to yourself : NEVER let them advertise at your expense going forward.

Take it back, I've never had/heard of any dealer refusing to remove it for free, that way they are responsible if it removes any paint...

second that. I can't stand to see these "billboards" on the back of vehicles, especially when they are huge and crooked. I can't think of any other product where the middle man slaps their name on it like it's theirs. I don't mind the license plate holders or wouldn't mind badges if they were simply magnetic.

Exactly... I would never buy a car that had badging or would have them remove it before signing any papers.

I heard on another car forum that they can be removed with gentle hair drier heat and dental floss (preferably stuff you have not used on your teeth!). You might try the Gore-Tex dental floss (yes, there really is such stuff) as it is quite strong. I make no guarantees and I've never done it myself (I mean floss the car-I do floss my teeth).

If you don't want to take it to the dealer:
1. Heat with hairdryer
2. Remove with dental floss
3. Clean residue with Goo Gone
4. Wash immediately
5. Wax

luckily my dealer's decal was just vinyl lettering that peeled off easily with a nudge from a fingernail.

I did everything here except the goo gone. I used Meguire's cleaner wax and it took off all residue. Thanks for all the input! The car looks great...I love this car!

True, but please do the obvious afterwards (I'm not trying to insult your intelligence).

RINSE thoroughly with water after the goo-gone. And then a quick wax on that area......

I used WD-40 to remove the sticky goo, then wash & wax. Been doing that for years. Also helps to park with the rear of the car in the sun. Sometimes you won`t even need the hair dryer.

I explicitely asked that they don't put a decal on my G35 when I agreed to purchase it (I had to wait a few days for it to be delivered from another dealership), and luckily the dealership said that they didn't put it on any cars.

License plate frames are easy to remove

My car got badges all over the place. I didnt' care since I clean it obsessively anyway. Cru is exactly right. Heat with a hair dryer, remove with dental floss, goo gone, apc, polish/sealant/wax/whatever. Takes 10 minutes.
