Just use fishing wire or even dental floss, heat gun, and just swipe away using the wire/floss. I used goo-gone to remove the leftover glue. Wash/wax when you're done and it'll look clean.

this may be a noob questions also, but does removing the badges make any difference on the resale value?

It's probably better to put them back on before you sell the car. 95% of the population doesn't understand de-badging.

I just removed my "INFINITI" letters some 15 minutes, ago. It was a piece of cake. I use some 6 lb. test fishing line, which I had lying around. It took all of 3 minutes to do so. Now, I have to get the adhesive off.

Okay, just got all of the left residual adhesive off. It took some 10 minutes to remove. I went to Kragen Auto and got some Stoner's Tarminator.

Now to decide on the "G35" emblem.

Did you get any "micro" scratches or anything in the paint while removing the letters with dental floss?

Thanks.

No it won't go away. You can wax it to temporarily hide it but to actually make it go away you'll have to use an abrasive polish. What has happened is there is an uneven fade in the clear coat. When you use the abrasive polish it will even it out and it will look perfect again. Assuming the outline isn't super noticeable I would say the Poorboy's World SSR 1.0 would do the job. Just apply it with a nice clean applicator I like the microfiber applicators but whatever works for you.

Got my car the last week of May '05. I have no ghosting whatsoever. However, my G is rarely parked outside in the sun, if that made a difference. My G is the BS color. That may have something to do with it, as well. Hmmm . . . I'd better hurry and decide on removing the "G35" emblem.

I trust your outline will eventually fade away.
