Synthetic chamois question

I use a synthetic chamois currently to dry my car. Its called the Absorber and its northing short of a miracle when it comes to drying a just washed car. No streak, zero effort. My question is can I use this synthetic chamois to dry the spray on wax like Eagle 1 WAUD???

no... I would recommend a microfiber towel for drying your car... but definitely using a MF towel to deal w/ spray waxes.

I too have been using the ABSORBER now for years. It is the greatest chamois ever invented. One word of advice if I may. Keep it wet in the tube. Don't ever let it dry completely. It can get brittle. It won't grow mildew, but make sure that you clean it from time to time. It will absorb micro abrasive materials over time. I just lay mine down on my Plastic Coleman cooler and turn the hose nozzle to "JET" and blast the dirt and oil out of that it picks up over time. I notice that it dries a lot more thorough when it is clean.

Keep the Absorber or any drying towel for drying only and do not use it with any spray wax or instant detailer. It would clog the pores and defeat the purpose of the drying and absorbing properties of the towel. It will start to streak also if you do that.

Also, do not use any towels dedicated for interior glass with the wax or instant detailer as you will get streaking on your interior glass.

Cheers,
Mike

For drying the absorber is pretty good. I have one and used it until I tried Micro Fiber towels for drying.
Now that all I use. For quick detail sprays I only use DF concours buffing towels!
Another option for drying is to use a shop vacuum with the hose on the exhaust side.

I would've never thought of that...the shop vac. Well actually I would've THOUGHT....but never do. Is that safe? I hope the filter takes care of the excess dirt before you sand-blast your car.
