METAL ruler and my windshield

im so pissed off right now i can't believe it.......my friend took a metal ruler to get snow/ice off my windshield and now there are MASSIVE lines/scratches.........PLEASE HELP.......or i might be in jail in a few days -.-

Might be bad news. Those could be permanent scratches in the glass, and I don't think that they can be polished out. I heard somewhere about a product that supposedly fills the scratches or something.

You might want to check with one of the windshield repair places that does crack repairs, etc. to see what they say.

You can polish glass, but it's something that almost always needs to be done by a pro (an actual windshield repair guy), it is not like polishing paint in that it requires different tools and skills. I do not know of a product that can fill glass scratches, though it might be worth asking a windshield repair place.

new windshield, your buddy is out a few hundred bucks... be thankful he didn't use it to scrape the snow off the hood.

yea thats what i've been thinking code......new windshield......anyone know how much one is? i mean i guess ill just call the dealership cause it is coming out of his damn pocket......

im in florida and here if u have a crack or anything wrong with ur windshield ur insurance covers it automatically no questions asked.... so yeah, those dam kids playing baseball again....

Any insurance should cover it. But what sucks is that it is a claim against your policy and that is not good. No matter who's fault it is, if you to many claims they drop you like a bad habit.
