Rock:1 Clear Bra:0
Ok. So I get the 3M clear bra installed by AutoSupershield.com. Pepi was was great. Very meticulous person, extremely hardworking and awsome personality. A little pricey, but worth it.
Anyway, so today driving to work a dump truck swerves in front of me. I see that he's dropping little rocks like mad. So I change over to the left lane to protect my G a little more. After the lane change I hear a loud pop. It seems a small rock had hit my right corner windshield. When I get off at the office I see that 2 small chips were made on the windshield. Its not too noticeable but its still there.
Do you guys know anything I can use to repair those two chips? Maybe smooth them out with something?

Call a glass repair company. They can fill the chips with a plastic resin. It'll prevent the chips from doing the spider-web crack thing, which if that happens, requires replacing the windshield.
Also call your insurance company. Most of them will pay for the windshield repair without charging you a dime for it, though you'll have to pay your deductible if the winshield needs to be replaced.

I have a couple of those little things too. Happened within a week of getting the car. I avoid trucks like the plague now. I'm waiting to get a couple more, and then have them all fixed at once to be worth the money. I used to know this really weird guy in So. Cal that was super cheap... maybe $30 to fix a super pitted winshield, and the results were phenomenal. That old hippy is probably dead by now though.

That's why I avoid the truck side on the NJ turnpike. Always take the car side, and reduce the chance of getting chips.

Believe it or not, that is quite simple to fix. My father told me this old trick. All's you need it to get some clear finger nail polish and fill in the chips. It will not spread anymore than it already has. I have done this to 3 vehicles and it always works. And will save you lots of money down the road...................MASTERSR6

Yea and don't forget to trim the toenails while you are at it!! I dunno, I don't think I would be dabbing clear nail polish on my windshield......

if you mess up, paint thinner will get it out quick... (i.e. nail polish remover LOL)

For most insurance companies the deductable does not apply for windows. If your car is broken into or your window / windshield is cracked due to some mishap your insurance will cover it if you have window insurance (which most do). They will send you to the shop they want you to go to most likely. This can be difficult because sometimes they are a little far.
