Sick of Winter

I don't know about the rest of you who actually deal with winter, but I am so sick of my car being dirty. We had snow here over the weekend and my car got just coated in salt and dirt. Uuuugh. Because I had no choice at the time, I took it to a self wash place and when I was done, there was light layer of salt still coating the entire car. My black G looked charcoal. So aggravating. I cannot wait for warm weather! Thanks for letting me vent.

Every time the sun breaks here in Ohio, (less than 100 times per year) The G gets washed.
Its really frustrating in the winter, washing it one day, dirty the next... repeat cycle...
I feel ya...

Winter is bad for washing, but Protectal Quick and Easy Wash (QEW) can help you out. This is what I use on my cars through the winter. Down in Atlanta we don't have salt to deal with though, so you might want to find something to remove the salt first. The QEW is a no-rinse wash that you use with a standard 2 bucket method. You have to pay special attention to your technique as to not scratch the surface, but I have had good luck with that.

If you want to try some, I can send you a sample. Otherwise, I think you can get it at a number of places.

I appreciate the generous offer, but the real problem is the continuous cycle of only one day of nice weather and then another round of precipitation. It makes a full handwash kind of impractical. Too much work for a day of happiness. I'll just deal with the next month or two and then detail the heck out of it. Thanks again!
