meguiars nxt tech wax

i bought this nxt tech wax today, like 16 bucks. it comes with an applicator. on the bottle it says to apply a thin film on the entire vehicle and let dry to a haze. now i know you shouldn't leave wax's on for a long time. i dont really want to take a chance. how are you guys using this product? do you just apply like half the car and then remove it? i'm not sure exactly how long to leave it on. like 2-3 minutes? i tried it on my other car and i dont think i put enough because i barely saw any hazing.

You have to wait at least 10-15 min. I just apply a thin layer on the whole car, go watch some TV for 30 min, and then wipe if off. After, spray some detail spray over the car just to make sure you got all the wax off and your done.

Dan's right - let it sit. As long as it's not in the sun you'll have no problem getting it off after 15-30 minutes. Just make sure to apply it very, very thin - so thin you almost can't tell it's going on. It will haze when it's ready to come off (15+ minutes). Get the pad a little damp with water during application, that will help spead the product most uniformly.

I too use Meguiar's products and found this site to be very helpful.

Yes, when using the NXT generation wax, a very thin coat that is allowed to completely dry (I let it sit in my garage for 30 mins) is the proper way to apply. I have been very happy with this wax on my DG sedan.

Just keep in mind that typically wax is the only item that you would treat this way. Wax needs time to "set-up" unlike say polishes or cleaners which should be wiped off immediately.

Happy cleaning!

Use a micro-fiber towel to take the wax off...makes it a whole lot easier.
