Crease in Seat at 1K miles?

My 2006 coupe now has 1000 miles on it. I have noticed a sharp crease in the center section of the driver's seat. It scares me a bit that such a sharp crease has come up so quickly. Has anyone else had this?

I am VERY careful with the interior and the car in general. Also, I also not some huge guy who's weight is causing this...in case anyone wondered.

These pics are huge, so beware.

Any ideas? Is this abnormal?

I had something like that on my former g. I think its because i wore pants with those little metal things near the back pockets. That is what likely scratched it

I'm not gonna lie...the G35 leather isn't really the best quality compared to Lexus or BMW.

If you're really **** about your leather trying using a "leather rejuvenator"..it might fix that scratch.

totally agree...i too have creases that i noticed - less than 1k in my 06 IP. Be careful of what you put in your back pocket.

And yeah, I think infiniti doesn't have that great of leather quality. I've been in my friend's m3 many times and it doesn't compare. One of my gripes with infiniti, especially an expensive car like this.

Those of you whom have creases in your leather seats . . . Are your cars parked out in the sun much and do your clean/condition your leather seats? That might help.

I just traded in an '04 Acura TL 6MT and the G35 seats are much better quality than the ones in the TL.

I had every kind of crease and crack you could think of short of an actual hole. Acura dealer told me it was "normal" wear and tear. I used conditioner and have a garage ......

I love everything about the G35 seats except for the seat controls poking into my thigh. Maybe I'm just too fat, lol.

you might be sitting too forward... looks like your butt crack print

Just messin' with you... seriously though, I had a crease as early as a few weeks after i got the car. I got all paranoid and always shifted my position after sitting in the car for a while. But I've heard about this complaint alot (creasing leather). I have a crease on the side as well, like Derzigster. I don't think you can completely get it out by conditioning the leather, but it should help with drying and cracking at the creased points.

thats nothing, i have so many.. both passenger and driver seat

the ones on the passenger seat were caused by my stupid friend kneeling on it while trying to reach into the back to grab something.. stupid idiot

and the side cusions on both seats are creased in, and very noticeable.. that's caused by just regular sitting.

it really bothers me.. but ive gotten used to it

I second on cheap leathers on our G compared to others like Lexus, BMW, even Acura. After owning it for just over a year, there are many areas of our G that I am somewhat disapointed with, just not so well put together as I expected and feeling the Nissan's cost cut measures. Just in case, I am not saying that all is bad.

The crease you have now is nothing - it's on the middle leather part of the seat. Soon you will get much worse creases on the sides as they are made of vinyl and really suck as far as looks go after a short period of time (creses from getting in and out of the car). There, even the leather rejuvenator will not help that much as it's not leather.
