Glass Polish
Glass Polish
For some reason, after washing my car, I noticed some small scratches on the passenger window. Is there a glass polish out there than can remove these? Also, how do auto glass repair companies fill a small crack or pit in your windshield and make it smooth again? There must be some polish out there than can remove scratches.
You could try a glass polish, such as those below....I've used Zaino's glass polish with nice results.

To actually remove scrtaches of any real depth you have to get the glass pretty warm. This scares me a good bit as the liklihood of causing a problem is high.
For minor scratches, I find that Klasse AIO and a PC or rotary (better) works pretty well. You just have to be VERY careful as to how you use them. I have used the AIO by hand on glass before to zap some overspray.

^1, but with the caveat, follow Zaino's instructions for the glass polish- I found applying by hand to be best. Put some on the glass, start rubbing with your fingers, allow to set thoroughly, and don't rub too hard with your cotton towel when removing. Finally, don't expect miracles. With my first G, I got absolutely pelted with salt and sand by trucks following a snow storm, and the window was never the same. The Zaino was a huge improvement, but it did not make the windshield like new.
