consol plastic/paint
has anyone considered taking the plastic /painted /titanium parts off and making molds and casting new bits in aluminum. the consol and center stack on my 6mt coupe is the only weak point in this great car. i would have gladly paid $500 more for a better treatment of this area. i have seen the applied aluminum and that dosen't look bad but it still isn't up to the level of the rest of the car and still leaves the rolled over edges exposed.
some where out there must be an owner with connections in areospace or hightect casting business. if enough owners expressd interest this could be a great after market accessory and would bring the interior up to audi levels of finish. any thoughts

Re: consol plastic/paint
Why not simply take the console out, sand it and have it painted an aluminum color with a clear coat. My Porsche has a yellow painted center console and there isn't a scratch on it, very tough, very durable, and very nice looking IMHO. They ought to offer an option like this, on Porsche it is about $800 for that option.
