Grrrr.wheat leather stained?
Ok. Someone's got to have a fix for this. Pleasepleaseplease.
Somehow I've stained the outer lip of the seat. I think getting in and out of the car in a series of brown or black leather jackets or skirts did it. I've tried a few leather cleaners that were in the bf's garage. Nothing (and I mean nothing) has helped.
Is there any way to remove the greyish color?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'd try two things. First the easy one:
Get some woolite (the regular laundry detergent) and mix it 5:1 with water. Spray the area and lightly scrub with a soft brush. This may work, it may not. Perhaps try a slightly strong concentration if it doesn't.
If that doesn't do it I would bite the bullet and buy some Leatherique Pristine clean. It's about the best leather cleaner I've used. I've taken out some serious stains with it. If that doesn't do it you've got me beat. Good luck.

Just be careful with the eraser, it has stained some surfaces I've used it on around the house, not sure how it is on the seat. I use the Leatherique Prestine Clean with great results and would consider it the premier leather cleaner out there.

Thank you for the fast responses! I've been so very careful it was frustrating to find the discoloration on the seat this weekend.
I didn't have Woolite but tried my reg detergent (All Free and Pure) in a weak soulution. It seemed to take most of it out. Did you hear the huge sigh of relief coming from California?
I'm going to hunt down the Pristine clean this weekend.
Thanks once again!

D87 - if it worked for you that's definitely a good thing. I think some of us guys would be reluctant to use it on leather because it's basically a small block of fine sandpaper, and it tends to dull glossy finishes (for example, use it on a gloss paint wall in your home and you'll notice the paint looks flat afterwards). Since most car leather is actually covered in a thin layer of glossy plastic I would be careful with the eraser and leather, lest you go through the plastic.
Just imo, of course.
