I have a Top Speed Y-pipe that is cracked on a weld. You can easily take this to a muffler shop or have a buddy weld the crack and strengthen that spot for cheap....$10-$20 probably.

$30 for you local guys.

benefit of just a y-pipe?

 

Y-pipes are usually non-profit. Better flow, of course, and they usually open up to 3" at the end for bigger piping down the line. It also deletes the small resonator at the Y in the stock pipe. Kind of like a collector, it keeps the exhaust pulses separate until the very last second. Perhaps we should ask Bill Nye.
