G35drivers to the rescue

A big thanks to my fellow G35 guys today at the track. I was at the MSR Driver's Edge Event for the weekend and ran in to a turbo issue in the afternoon. (my front turbo blew AGAIN!) So I had it towed home but luckily for me Ricerocketdave, LaydeeZ, and g35man04 wer up there taking photos of the event and gave the now stranded participant the heck back to Dallas. Very nice of you guys to help a fellow G guy out of a bind.

Turbos suck.

Glad to help!

I got some great shots of it on the track while it was running. I'll post them up later this week.

Oh no...

I saw you on that lap with your hazard lights on and black smoke coming out. I figured something went terribly wrong. The next thing I notice is your car being towed.

Sorry to hear all that man! Hope you get it all fixed...you got a lot of attention with that sweet ride!

It's not all that exciting......I go in circles then hear a turbo pop, then spend an hour or so waiting for a tow truck, then spend another hour trying to get a ride secured to get home, then call the poor guys at the shop on a weekend to ask them to come up there and get the car inside, then get the G back (still not everything is working right on that front either) then complain for a while until it all gets sorted out.

You are preaching to the chior. Actually I figure I'll get something constructive done and go to the gym.

So is Precision going to do anything for you?

I talked to a friend of mine today who knows a lot about turbos and he agreed that its either getting too hot, or it could possibly be getting too much oil.

i think it may be on the hott side.....due to the fact that he has so much oil already going through the system.

Agreed..

Not to mention if it was an oil problem these symptoms would have occurred on the street as well.

There is no way you can generate as much heat on the street as you can on the track, its impossible to drive a car that hard unless you are an idiot.
