DFW G35 on the dyno

So I went to get a few runs today after fixing my belt slip issue. It looks as though my UTEC is sensing a bit of knock after 5.5k rpm and pulling timing which kills power. I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch of gas, but I only hit like 345whp. I also have a miniscule exhaust leak, which might be causing false knock. I will fix that this week as well along w/ swapping out my plugs as German told me to do.

Props to Cameron at Matchless

I guess I can retitle this thread: "g35man04's new front bumper" Who cares about the car on the dyno.

ROFL, I didn't even realize that I replied to the OT post from g35man04!!!

So is this the first official dyno run since the UTEC USB issue? How many psi is being registered at the plenum? I would think your numbers should definitely be higher but thankfully timing is being pulled to save the motor when knock is detected!!!

Did you do that mod that added the additional pulley next to the jackshaft pulley???

Well, the USB issue was resolved previously and it only put down 301whp at 5psi. First official dyno run since my belt slip issues, and I am not getting belt slip with the new pulley mod. I think I can hit 9psi a little past redline, as I have my rev limiter set to 6700.

didn't mean to leave you out, moog. nice numbers btw should've put some pictures of the whole car up as well--it's easy on the eyes. i did have a question for you too though: your yellow fogs are nice but how do the highbeams look once the fogs switch off? is it just a brighter yellow and how does it look?

It's the same yellow, just brighter with the second filament turning on in the H4 bulb.

ya know, I've been meaning to ask about that... i swore my 06 when i first bought it used the fogs as high beams as well... however, I've done the recall on them and now they use the HID with just a reflective plate... was i losing my mind or did they switch as apart of the recall?

I don't think they switched anything in the recall besides some alignment type stuff. Not 100% sure though, as I have an 03.

Yea, the recall was just because the light was too high... ghey

but i swear the fog was the high beam prior to the swap...

nice, thank god for that. It was a high pressure line from one of the turbos that got fu<ked up. Any updates on anything else on the car? My VDC and ABS madness sorted out?
