Inspection is up...need to find out where to go...

Hey everyone just like the title says..I know I will pass inspection but where should I take it to have my car inspected at...In the past I would go to an oil dealership or firestone but now that my car is lowered they are not able to pull it up on the lifts anymore....any suggestions? I need to know ASAP since it went on on Dec 31st.....

I tried the oil dealership and they are not able with my new bumper and how lowered it is....firestone wont even attempt..I dont want to have anything torn up at all...

Please post up what you suggest.

Why do they need to put it on a lift for an inspection?

I have always just had them plug into the obdII port and that was it.

+1

They don't need to put it on a lift for inspection. They drive it around the bldg a couple times, check the lights, plug in OBD port and done.

I got mine done at the Kwik Kar Lube & Tune in Murphy off 544/Murphy Rd. They don't have a lift to drive up on, and were cool w/ everything.

I went to Kwik Kar Lube in Irving...and the same...No Lift!

I think some places have them attached to lifts, and some dont. Reason being, I believe, older cars (no odb2) have to actually be semi-dyno'ed to test exhaust emissions.

There is a place at Greenville and Bethany in allan that doesn't use a lift that can change oil and do inspection, but no shop should have to put an OBDII car on a lift

If it's just your bumper........can you back it up onto the lift? Other option is to lay down 2x4's to lift the car up a bit (assuming it's a 2-post lift, not a 4-post).
