Need mechanic, will pay.

I'm not sure what i'll turn up here, but this is a network, and it never hurts to ask.

I need a mechanic or someone who is very familliar with v8 engines, old cars etc, and is willing to come to my house. (S. Arlington)
Probably 4 full days work, weekend days, i'm willing to pay for the time, and i have beer.

If ya'll know anyone that fits the bill......... holla holla holla...

Thanks in advance!

What are you wanting to do?
Engine swap?

Welcome, by the way.

Thanks, i'm glad I found this forum.

I believe its much easier than a swap actually. Just need help finishing what I started on my Caddy. Finish assembly on the engine, put it back in the car, tune it, button it up.
I started this like 4 months ago, and i've done pretty well considering my lack of knowledge. I just don't trust my abilities going forward, and i'm very burnt out. I want to do 900 other things to this car and I can't because it doesn't run yet.
I'm to the point that its more efficient for me to hire a wrench to help me.

So yeah.
I've gone to a few local mechanics and they want me to drop $3k and just rebuild it from scratch. F that. What i have assembled is fine (long block + some) I just need sombody who is knowledgeable for the rest.

Here is the engine as it sits today.

As you can see its pretty much together, its completely painted in hi heat engine paint.

Should be pretty sweet when I get it in the damn thing......

Any help is appreicated.

Damn that looks good. Where in S. Arlington are you? I'm central right on the UTA campus. If I wasn't so booked with school I'd help you this weekend, but then again, I do have a four day weekend coming up. I'll let you know what this weekend turns up.

Looks like we've got the same skill set too. Good luck on your endeavor; I'll keep you posted on what my weekend looks like. The weather doesn't look good already though .

I contacted a mechanic friend of mine. He said he wasn't up for the challenge.

He is the only person I know with the skill level to do a job like this. I will keep an eye out for you though.
