Door Lock's
Does anyone know who would be able to change the actuators with some generics on how to the fix the OEM ones? I think mine are starting to go out. I did a search and there is a semi DIY that doesn't go into enough detail on installing an aftermarket one. Also, is there any other "relay" or anything that could not be sending enough voltage to them?
I hear them both activate and click but the locks just won't move the entire way. The passgr started to act up and now the driver so not sure if it's just coincidence.
Thanks guys,
JD

lol, my driver side works about 70% of the time. The other 30% i have to use the key to open the damn door. damn it, at least my engine is holding up fine, but aside from the rear ticking noise problem i'm currently having and a god awful smell coming from under my engine bay (i think something died and is burning underneath there) a bad door lock doesnt seem too bad of a problem...but it still is annoying.

No need to fire up the grill, Domenic has got the next bbq covered already...slightly roasted...

lol! i'm telling you the smell is horrific. I got it subdued a bit more though. i took it to the car wash after work and hosed down all underneath the front suspension/engine bay area. I seriosuly think a squirrel or mouse/rat or something that got in there overnight and fried on my drive to work. it didn't smell like tranny fluid, oil, or power steering fluid or anything else i've known to burn in a car. I have no leaks anywhere in the engine bay. I searched and searched and searched and couldn't find anything on the exhaust manifold from what i could see, that why i think it was a mouse that got into a little cranny under the engine and got BBQ'd on the exhaust manifold or something.
All i know was that my car was smoking when i was at a red light yesterday morning and i thought my tranny fluid was burning or something. It smelled horrible! Good riddance to whatever was in my engine, but it sure is getting the last laugh!
