I paid $24,800 for my 05' 5AT bone stock back in March.

Thanks for the feed back, I know you generally don't get the money back on the Mods... so.

The hard part is selling it as a private seller, I.E. Not being able to finance someone.

Agreed. I know some banks will finance a private buyer vehicle, but their rate for a good credit history is going around 10%.

When I financed my car, I applied to capitalone online and they sent me a blank check in the mail. Their rate was 6.5%, which was really good, and I ended up using it as a negotiation tool to get a lower rate from the dealer (6.3%).

Anyways, good luck with the sale. I think I might of actually seen that car around before. (Macarthur/ 635/ 114 area ?)

Although CapitalOne will NOT let you write that check to a private party. It has to be written to an established dealership. Bank of America and Wells Fargo no longer give loans for private party purchases either. The only way you can do it from one of them is to open a Personal loan instead of an Auto loan. The advantage is you have a clear title after you buy it. the downside is a higher interest rate.
