Be on the lookout for....

A car for me!!!

As most of you are probably aware I sold my car last weekend. If you want the details, check out my FS thread in the DFW classifieds.

I am looking for a BMW 335i manual. I would prefer a sedan, 07 or 08 model. If someone can find a G37 sedan (manual only please) I would be open for that also. It doesn't sound like any are around.

I would also consider an Audi S4 (06 or newer, manual), or an 05 or newer MB E55 AMG (auto only).

Let me know if you guys see anything out there. I am having a hard time finding manuals. I am considering making a trip to Chicago to pick up a BMW I found that matches what I am looking for.

More details on the car, aka interior color, car color, price, etc...

here are some i found on the internet used:

335i sedan:

Audi S4

Mercedes E55 AMG

I'm assuming your looking for sedans, and i don't think the G37 sedans are out yet but i may be wrong.

If i had the money and wanted one of these cars I'd by a 335i and mod the hell out of it to make it better than an M3, just my 2cents. Anyways happy hunting hope you find something sweet.

a friend of mine in Houston is selling his black on black 335i sedan that is automatic with every single option and about 10K miles on it. let me know if you're interested. I do know you said you were looking for a manual but thought you might change your mind. It's an '07 and the only mods are the euro tail lights that are a bit greyed out on the top set.

he's looking to upgrade to an M5 hence the selling.

I am pretty dead set on a manual (unless it is something like the dual clutch autos).

Speaking of M5's; I am seeing some killer deals, and it is tempting. It is my dream car too.... There is one in Cleaburn (sp?)that they are asking $36 for (its an 06 with 60k miles, but still....), there is another local one for $42k (a 2006 with 38k miles on it). Oh, so tempting.

At this point I am pretty set on the 335i unless I talk myself into the M5. I did confirm there is no way I am finding a G37 sedan in manual. There are a few out there, but all were special ordered (so unless someone canceled, it is not happening).

The Black S4 in the above link sold, and there is nothing else around. The E55's in the links are way too much. I am seeing 05's in other places for $32k. That is really the only way I would consider one. I found one in Houston for $33k (with only 28k miles), and one in Ohio for $33k (it has 46k miles, but was CPO). Both are in awesome shape.

Thanks for the input everyone. I can also say if it is on Autotrader, cars.com, or Ebay I have probably seen it at this point. I spend about half my day staring at those sites....

Yeah, no loaner cars for me. I am considering traveling to find what I really want. I found a private seller that will sell me the 335i I want in Chicago for $31k (07 sedan, 6MT, Graphite/Black, Sport, Premium, Nav, cold weather, 25k miles, etc.). If I don't find anything this weekend, I may be making a trip to Chi-town....

Until it's out of warranty and he gets the first repair bill! lol. My buddy is selling his M5 now for that very reason.

Also, don't hesitate to travel/ship a car in to get what you want. It's worth it. I got my G from Missouri, lol

That's what scares me about the M5 with 60k miles. No warranty. I am not sure what an engine costs for that car, but I am guessing in the $20-30k range. I can't imagine what I would do when they told me that....

Trust me, I really want the M5. It's the repair bills and insurance that is scaring me. I have not talked to my insurance company, but last year the M5 was listed as one of the most expensive cars to insure at an average of something like $900 a month. I am sure that has gone down some, but I am guessing it is still a lot.

At this point I am all for traveling or shipping the car if it is a legit deal. I am ready to make a weekend trip somewhere. I'll keep you posted.

Sedan, manual, black interior, and I would consider a few colors (gray, white, black, silver). For a 335i or S4 I would like to spend under $32k. Since the G37 is out of the question, I guess if I could find a killer deal on a 08 G35 I would consider it. By killer deal I am talking about $25-26k (yeah it sucks, but it's the market Infiniti created...).

Your biased.... There are some good deals out there on those too. It's just a tad too big for me (as my only car), and no manual. If I had something else, I would consider it. I saw some nice 08 M35's for $26-28k.

I like both of those. The 5 is a tad out of my price range, and I am having a hard time finding too many 06 and newer MT S4's around here.
