Powdercoating!

Hey guys I'm planning on purchasing a set of 19" OEM wheels whenever a good deal comes up (if you have some for sale locally please let me know!).

Anyways, I was wondering if there are any good, relatively cheap powdercoating places in the DFW area. I've already sent an e-mail to http://www.qualitypowdercoating.com/ and they quoted me for $80 for sandblasting+powdercoating per wheel, which seems a bit pricey, but I really have no idea as far as prices go.

Thanks a lot you guys!

Just got my M35/M45 19 OEM wheels sandblasting & powdercoating (twice) for $300.
First they sandblasted the wheels, then depending on the color you want it is a single or double powder coat. I had my wheels powder coated and then had them powder coat the clear coat on there.

$80 seems about normal for pricing.

I've gone to www.custompowdercoating.com

Here's another place and they're located in Arlington, I've used them many times for valve covers, suspension parts and turbo piping & housings. I know they were doing some wheels in there the last time I stopped by. Ask for Mike, he's the owner.

Most say that they can get it done in just a couple of days.

I'm sure the process itself doesn't take long, it's just all the other projects they have to attend to

Where'd you get them done at if you don't mind me asking because so far I've been quoted $80 a wheel by one place and $425 for the whole process from another

I work for Discount Tire and its a private company we use, I got a really good deal because of the amount of work I send to them. One of my friends works there and he cant even get them done for that cheap. I would check with wheel technologies. I will also try to find out from my friend how much he could do them for.

Oh I have a question if you work for Discount Tire. How much do you guys charge to mount tires onto rims and switch them out with the set of wheels on the car?

Nope not that much, but depending on the size I am about to install my friends 24s on his escalade for 100 bucks with lifetime balancing. So I could do a deal for some G35 guys.
