1. You can look on craigslist and ebay for a new ballast. There are multiple nissan/infiniti models that share the same ballast, so you don't necessarily have to pay a lot. I got a new one for under $80 a year ago.
Drawback - your car may be out of commission after 7pm for some days.
2. You can go to a junk yard and find one of the models that shares the same part and buy it from there.
Drawback - you will likely have to purchase a whole light.
3. You can purchase an aftermarket ballast and ignitor cable.
Drawback - you will have to find some place to mout it.
*4. I had a ballast go out on me last month. I went and did all the above things and hap decided to get the aftermarket because it was the fastest fix. When I took out the ballast, I noticed that it had water in it. I put that ballast in the oven and baked it for about 30 minutes on a medium setting, drying out the circuit.
The result - ballast has worked perfectly ever since.

^ Or what he said. lol
I forgot that option.
There is a guy on craiglist right now selling an 06 Maxima Headlight with ballast. You could see if he wants to just let the ballast go.
