Twalls Progression Thread
Man.. been a while since I updated this..
So let me start off by saying Thank you to Dustin@Strafe and Law@Strafe for taking the EXTRA mile to get my brackets made in a timely fashion even when the manufacturer was tripping.. The seats were installed and the doors were shaved by Stephen (R1Forever80) at his shop Damage Incorporated (would recommend him to ANY AND EVERYONE) he's been doing retrofits for lights all over the country, so get your orders in..
Here's the car now.. Met up w/ a buddy of mine.. Up and coming photographer (19 yrs old) Micah Nunley.. Showed him a few things about lighting and he captured this..

Then we decided to meet up about 3am this past week to do some light painting for an assignment he had for long exposures (He goes to Collin County Community College for photography)
I was running around in the cold flashing the softbox during the 70 second exposures and we came up w/ these..

Really shows off the nice shaved doors..
Then I've been really working on my 365 project (original photo everyday for a year) to increase my photography skills w/ off camera lighting.. (link to the whole project in my signature)
Here's one that happened yesterday that's car related, so I'll throw this in here as well.. Get your laugh on..

Ok.. Funny story..
So I go to workout today.. I go into the gym, and realize I left my ipod in the car.. Go back out, and notice this dude walking around my car befuddled.. I mean hand on top of the head, pacing, and the "huh" look on his face..
I walk up to the car, and he asks, "Is this your car?" I'm like, "yeah... "
He says, "It's a GORGEOUS car, but for the LIFE of me, I can't figure out how you get into the damn thing... "
I say.... "Oh.. I just touch it.." Mind you, my hand is in my pocket the whole time w/ my finger on the remote button..
I press the button in my pocket, and touch the door at the same time, and of course the door opens.. Dude's jaw just drops..
He's like.. "Get the F outta here.. you just TOUCH it? But wouldn't that work for just anyone?"
I said, "No, I had it chipped.. " He said, "chipped?"
"Yeah, chipped so that it knows my finger from someone elses.. Go ahead, try it.. "
I closed the door, and he he pressed the door, of course it didn't open.. I pressed the door and it popped open first time as before.. Dude was floored AGAIN..
He runs over to the passenger side.. "So what do you do for this side? Do you have to come over and touch this door too?" I said, "No, of course not.. That side is voice activated.. Watch..." I yelled "GUEST!!!" (couldn't think of anything else fast enough) pressed the passenger door button and the door opened...
This dude couldn't believe what just happened.. He walks off backwards looking at the car saying.. "That's some Knight Rider **** right there..."
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha.. I love gullible people.. Yeah I'm prolly going to hell for this one.. But it made me laugh today..

How on earth have I missed this thread before now? OMG*d, your coupe is one of the cleanest, sexiest, most well-put-together projects I've ever seen. Kudos to you chief, and subscribed!
I already told you in AIM. This car is the definition of WINNING.
The shaved doors are an amazing addition to the car, and your buddy is doing some impressive **** with photography. Your car is an asset to his practice. It's so beautiful.
One of these will be my wallpaper if you don't mind. Too amazing.

From my 365 project.. If you haven't been keeping up, take a look at it here..

69/365 - .. All About the Details
Nov 1, 2011
Today was AWESOME!!! A few months ago, I was driving around with the family and spotted an AMAZING spot that I felt would be a great setting for a photo shoot..
I was given a dream opportunity by Texas Finest magazine to shoot Mysti when she was in the shop from being rear ended.. (I've always had a goal as a photographer to have a car feature shoot be in a magazine as well as have my car featured.. This is 2 dreams coming true at the same time for me)
Well, they needed the pics for the next month's edition of their magazine.. I had to get the shoot done or lose the opportunity.. That was NOT happening.
I went to the location, and wanted to get permission from management to use the spot because I wanted to be able to take my time w/ natural and strobbed shots.. They had a rock driveway, so I also knew I'd need time to wipe the car down again after I got the car in position..
The shoot was PERFECT, the people were more than accommodating, the location was even more perfect than I expected. I even worked out a deal that I can shoot for them in the future.. So more business in a sector that I haven't tried out before (more details on this later)
The sun began coming coming down toward the horizon and I swear it sat in the sky perfectly just for me.. It cast shadows in JUST the right spots but never obtrusive to my shots.. I felt as though nature and I were working in perfect harmony.. This shoot was MEANT to happen at this time, on this day, and in this location...
..it's all about the details.

A sneak peek from the shoot..

The shoot will be featured (I've been told 5 page spread) in the next issue of Texas Finest Magazine.
Also been in talks w/ Junior Hernandez of https://www.facebook.com/DarkImageVideography on finishing up the 2nd part of the full length feature vid for Mystique.. It's coming soon.. We've set up potential dates to continue the shooting.. Getting excited folks.. It's all starting to come together..
For those that missed it.. Here is the teaser for the vid.. (featured on RPMVision)
