I spent $7 shipped on my plastic mesh. The same exact plastic used by custom auto mesh. I had a whole roll... yards and yards. Lol.

I ended up buying some metallic mesh from Home Depot since the gutter guard stuff didn't come in wide enough (6") to cover the bumper openings and just spray painted it flat black. I'll have some pics when it's installed. Thanks for the suggestions all!

I could have sworn I read somewhere that the spray paint comes off or something.. I think the rubberized undercoating is the way you wanna go rather than spraypaint.

fyi, you can buy that stuff from a sheet metal shop. you're looking for "expanded metal"

Yup...

Thats what I did on my car. Fiberglassed the mesh directly to the grill on mine.

so you didn't use any pins at all? or you fiberglassed the pins to the grill and bent the pins back on the mesh? I have pins (paperclips) fiberglassed to the grill and lower holes of the front bumper.
