Anybody taken the GMAT?
i would suggest kaplan - i use their material for the cfa and am using it for the gmat now. they have a bunch of books. start with the premier edition and move to the professional (or "experienced" - can't remeber the name right now). the latter is geared towards scoring >700. my co-worker used this and scored a 710
also consider the gmac material as they write the exam. if you want interactive, i believe manhattan gmat is good:

Grab one of the Kaplan books and go thru the problems over a few weekends. You already know the material, you just have to get used to the way the questions are posed.
Once you've done all the review questions, use the disk and take some of the CATs - that's how the real exam will be conducted (assuming it hasn't changed from when I did it in 2003). Focus on the first few questions so you get on the right track for a high score. MAKE SURE YOU GET COMFORTABLE TAKING THE TEST ON THE COMPUTER!
Get a good night's sleep the night before the test and read a newspaper the morning of.

Cool. Stick with highly ranked schools, otherwise nowadays a generic MBA is useless.
The GMAT essay is not really hard and most schools dont weight heavily on it (as I was told by the Princeton review person)
However you may also want to go on the gmat website and d/l their prep stuff, I have downloaded it, and the material is easy, but it is formatted to be very tricky and learning the prices can be confusing.

Don't bother with that, it's a waste of money IMO.
As others have stated, I would go with the KAPLAN. You can pick one up at barnes and noble for like $20 (book and comes w/ a cd). The material is really not hard, it's just the way it is presented and the CAT that you have to get used to.
There is a math section, verbal section, and essay. Honestly, for the verbal and essay I didn't do much prep except run through a couple of the prep-exams included with the book. For the math section, I did the sample questions. Also in the back of the Kaplan book, there is a section of math concepts that you need to know. I pulled that out, checked off the stuff I knew already off the top of my head, and then studied and memorized the ones I didn't know... (you'll know the vast majority of them).
I remember before studying, people recommended studying for like 1-2mo before taking the exam...I studied the week before and walked in on 5 hrs of sleep. Scored a 670. I had scored 700 on the prep-tests, but meh who gives a ****.. more than enough than I needed to get into the program I wanted.
