I'd like to add shops for tuning :

1) T1 Motorpsorts, speak to Tony Paolo. Got my first tune done there. Tony set up and drove the record setting Integra, he knows his stuff.

2) Chris Macellaro. Chris teaches tuning courses, talking about knowing what you are doing! I believe he is now working out of a shop in Arlington, but you can contact him and he'll come tune at your shop of choice, as long as they will rent him out the dyno! Chris did my second tune after a few more mods and a request to make it conservative so I can beat at the car on the track and not go boom.

However, anyone know of a good muffler shop? I need to get a custom exhaust made. I am looking for a place that is reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable.

 

Sadly, the best muffler shop is no longer around... I think Will had a place. I still need to visit myself.

 

Another thing that I think that's needed is MESH for our kits... I get mine from 1ill350z off of the my350z.com forum.. Email him at quicksilver5050@aol.com.. This is not your normal "gutter guard" mesh, it's the black plastic coated mesh.. It comes precut when you let him know your kit.. A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

 

what about chrome plating? anyone got any suggestions on places to get chrome/gold/black-chrome plating done in the DFW area?

 

if its small stuff i'd go to Rbchroming, the owner, i think his name is Brian, drives a nice black supra around and he's pretty cool, used to go out to the rice killer meets a lot.

I had a pretty good experience with Details LTD in Addison (off midway, think its next to xtreeme collision)

They fixed my baby up like new, also fixed some damage that was hidden from the person who owned the car before me (SHE SAID IT WAS NEVER IN A ACCIDENT!!!)

they did everything the RIGHT way instead of taking shortcuts.

they are not fast, but I didn't want them to be. I wanted everything done right and thats what I got. Danny is the man (he worked on my car.) He explained everything to me and wasn't trying to hide anything. It's rare to get an experience like this from a company.

They worked with my insurance company and got everything covered. The insurance company gave me an initial quote of $1500 and Details LTD laughed at it. The real damage cost around $5000, but they got it covered.
