Waiting on a call from them so Ill ask then. Never had to file a claim with my current insurance since switching to them over 10 years ago.

My old man did bodywork for over 20 years so I picked up a lot over the years, basically Im figuring Ill need a new fender, respray the whole drivers side, and repowdercoat the 2 wheels.

Im just leary taking it to a shop that doesnt deal with modified cars, need the new fender rolled too before paint. Things like that that normal shops have no idea how to do.

Stephen has his own shop or works at one?

Any time I need to do body work for insurance seems like the adjuster love to shaft me couple thousand. I tend to go to dealer like Infiniti and have them write me up a quote along with "service king". When I had my old acura in a minor wreck the damage insurance quoted me was $932. I went back to couple body shops in town since I knew my custom HOUSE OF KOLOR 7 step paint job would be a pain in the *** to spray and match. New quotes came out to $2700 and I simply turned in 2 quotes to adjuster. THey readjusted the claim and I asked them Nicely to cut me a check. I will be taking it to a body shop of my own to have it repaired. I ended up selling the car and god knows what I did with the cash.

I have done this same thing 3 times now and plenty of time for family members. Actually in the process right now for my dad as well and insurance claims repairs is only like $667 when in reality it is easily over $1300. Body shops and Dealer will always give you a higher quote than insurance. You have a right to have it repaired any shop of your choice. I just get them couple high quotes and tell them to give me the average of the 2 new quotes.

Stephen will be able to handle claims and will write you quote if you need one. I had mine done through insurance and personal with him. PM me for more details.

Yea, my insurance doesn't screw around with that kind of stuff. They send me to a Service King for the quote (which I agree will be high) and then they cut me a check all without me having to ask for a single thing. Their only question to me was "do you want the check mailed to you or direct deposited to the account we have on file?" God bless USAA

Any suggestions on re upholstery? My pass side headrest has a huge nasty bubble in it. Just need the skin taken off and reapplied with new adhesive.

Fluid flush and other maintenance

Where do you guys recommend going to get auto transmission fluid flush/change, rear diff fluid, and coolant flush done? Of course, instead of dealership. I live near Garland/Plano/Richardson area.
