Sadly I must say...

I traded the G yesterday. I decided I wanted a more functional vehicle and have decided on a truck. I didn't have the luxury of getting a second vehicle for function while maintaining the G.

I had a blast with the G and from time to time want to hit up a meet just to remember what its like! I wish the best to everyone and am sad I no longer have the G but am excited with the possibilities of owing a truck.

Take care,
Aaron

Sorry to hear you had to trade it in, but best of luck on the new truck. Enjoy the extra room. Sometimes i wish i had more room in the G35, even for someone my size. I think my next car will be a sport sedan! Pics of the new truck?

My goal is to get a jet ski or boat next summer and spend some time at a lake.... I haven't taken any pics of it yet but here is what they had on the dealer website... It was a great price so I couldn't pass up the offer... they didn't want to give me much for the G but they paid it off...

Mods to come:
Projector headlights (with halos): $219 new shipped
Bedliner: $450 (spray in)
Tow Hitch: $150

And at some point maybe DVD/Nav upgrade... who knows, maybe just keep it simple and pay it off and have a truck to do what I need it to do and then get another G for fun! Anyhow, if you guys ever need a hand and a truck, let me know... might make you drive me around the block to bring back the memories of such a fun car.

I looked at several places and this was the best deal with longest warranty... I do like the Titan though, but I didn't really care which truck it was so long as it could tow and the price was right. Liked some SUV's as well but I wanted them decked out with all the options and couldn't get that out of my head so I went with a simple truck that would do everything I needed it to.

I tell ya what, I sure do miss the interior of the G...

Did you ever consider the FX? You could have gotten the V8 + AWD for towing. This was actually a 35 though.

V8 FX was quite a bit out of my price range... and I wasn't sure the FX would pull for me. That boat is probably a bit big for the FX, it seems to be squating quite a bit.

I did test drive an 07 FX35 and LOVED the interior but there was NO pep to it. I thought for sure there would be some get up and go. With that in mind I got something I feel has a bit more pep (a lot larger) and much more utility while sacraficing the interior. Just a few short years from now the truck will be paid off and then I can get something fun as well, maybe a sport sedan... don't think I will ever be able to go back to a coupe.

Were you looking at newer years or brand new, because I was thinking a few years old. That would explain the price difference. Can't beat the deals they have on new trucks.
So when you say no pep, you are saying that F150 is faster? Or just to you the F150 feels faster?

Probably just feels faster (could simply be road noise!). I was looking at an 07 FX and they wanted 34k for it with 30k miles... Got 07 F150 certified with upgraded waranty (100k Miles bumper to bumper, not just powertrain) with 30k miles for $19.5K out the door with TTL... I did really like the interior on the FX but felt it would probably limit me in the future with only 2 rows of seats.

I was thinking Expedition extended lenght (3 rows) or Tahoe but prices were pretty high with all the options I wanted in the SUV so I decided on bare bones truck for now and then luxury later...

So far I am happy, we will see what the future brings!
