Aftermarket Y-pipe...can anyone lend me one?

As some of you guys know, I'm struggling with a crazy sound that has occurred after installing my Berk HFCs. For some reason, there is a scraping/metallic sounds around 2500-3000. After several trouble-shoots at Cobb Tuning, the consensus seems to be that the flex joints in the Y-pipe are to blame.

That being said, I don't want to go out and buy an aftermarket Y if it wont even fix the problem. So....does anyone have an aftermarket Y (or an HR Y-pipe) that they wouldn't mind letting me borrow to take up to Cobb and have them try out really quick? I would only need it for an afternoon. Alternatively, if anyone has the means to jack the car up and do it themselves, that would be even better. I simply lack the facilities to do it since I'm in an apartment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The noise is seriously killing me....

Did you get in contact w/ the guy that sold you the berks? I thought even Chris' Y pipe didn't fix the issue.. So that tells you it's the Berks bro.. I have a stock Y pipe and Berks, and mine don't rattle. you heard'em last night.. It's not the Y Pipe.. They didn't make that sound before you put the Berks on.. That's the culprit mayne..

nah, the Berk office isn't open on the weekends, so i'll have to wait until monday to call them.

yeah, i know that we both have the exact same setup...and it probably is the berks. i guess i'm just still in denial that it's them (as stupid as that sounds). the guy at Cobb is almost 100% confident that it's not the Berks, but.....i dunno. i wanted to avoid the hassle of having to ship these back and get another set, but i'm thinking that's what it's going to come down to. if a new set of Berks doesn't fix it, then i swear i'm going to go crazy. that would also mean that there's something specifically wrong with my car in particular, which would open a whole other can of worms...

well, either way, i guess i'm going to call them up on monday and ask that they send me a new set. the added cost of all this troubleshooting is really starting to **** me off, but i guess that's just the way things go.

hopefully all will go well and i can go back to having a car that sounds nice...without the "noise" lol.

I got that when I put on test pipes and I couldnt bare with it..so I took them off after about a week..It was driving me insane..Some peops cars just get this after going after market. GL with the troubleshooting...but my bet is its the HFC's. Put on your cats back on and see if you still hear it. Either way something will need to be tested.

GL and I hope it is the Ypipe cause I would hate to get HFC and have to return them cause you just got a bad product...that would be full of suck..
