Level 12 Arcane Master Mage finally!!!!
Here's a vid clip of a short fight scene entering the Dwarven underground city. I'm going there first for the Dwarven alliance then to get the Elven alliance in the Brecilian Forest.
I let my inferno go in the background since there is an archer and 2 mages back there. That prevents them from coming forward while it deals constant fire damage to them. They die without me even touching them, love it! Plus it sets the 3 enemies up front on fire and constant damage immediately when they start to attack. Then i put a force field around the main bounty hunter which immobilizes him and prevents him from attacking while my party kills off everyone else. Then we kill him after the forcefield ends.

I'm gonna get FRAPS.. my boy just told me that was the best in game recording software.. http://fraps.com/
First things first, man put your poultices/lyrium potions in your userbar at the bottom, so you don't have to go into inventory everytime to use them.. That'll save you a LOT of time.. then just left click on them in the userbar at the bottom..
Next level up you get, do a vulnerability hex, that'll allow you to do spell combos. put a hex on someone first, then use your cone of cold, or any other ice spell and they're more suceptible to injury, also drain life takes a SH!Tload of more energy. I kill lower level mages in 3 hits now.. Vuln Hex + ice + bolt = TOASTED MAGE!!!
Also, set up your Combat Tactics mayne.. You can set up scripts to work so that when your character, or any in your party for that matter get to certain health levels or are in certain scenarios, they do what you'd have them do "auto-magically". For example, if you see that you're doing the same spell combo, you can set it up to do that.. I've done that for my Sleep + Horror combo.. If my mage (morigan) sees someone asleep, she'll automatically cast horror next (another spell combo) to make them get all KINDS of spirit damage and they can't resist it when they're sleeping.. HAHAHAHHA!!! Another thing I do is "Frost Weapons" w/ morigan, she will make all the characters melee weapons deal cold damage and that when combined w/ the vulnerability hex are SICK.. Next stage of the Vulnerability hex is the "contagious" vulnerability hex, all enemies in a region are affected and more suceptible to cold, electricity, nature, and fire damage.. AW JEAH!!
Combat Tactics are your friend bro.. Also use that for when my characters hit a certain health threshold.. if they're less than 50%, they use a lesser health poultice, if 25% or less, they use a regular or greater depending on what I have..
EDIT: After watching the vid again, I see that you just "disabled" them.. Prolly for the purposes of the video.. PLAY ON!!! PLAY ON!!!
Hope this helps, and saves you some time.. It's kewl to see them "self sufficient".. Just another aspect I love about this game. The ability to "program" your characters to do what you'd have them do even when you're not directly controlling them. Really lets you sit back and enjoy the fights like a movie, rather than micro-managing each aspect. I like to do that too for harder enemies or larger parties though.. So I can control the order of death.. LMAO!!!

You're right, I disabled the combat tactics whenever i cast a large spell like inferno or blizzard, my party tends to walk right into it and they get dealt damage. lol!
Now the Hex i didnt know, im waiting to try it out now...

Yeah.. When I cast BLIZZARD, OMG.. I just make my characters use their ranged weapons till the spell subsides.. And I have my mage stand away from the group as well, because like fireball the first thing the spell does is knock everyone off their feet.. Then anyone caught in the blizzard gets dealt constant cold damage. You can run outside of the range of the blizzard however, but by then it's normally too late, you've lost like 75% of your health. That's a BAD CHICK!!!
So over time, I've increased my character, Lileana, and Alistair's dexterity, so they're just as cold w/ ranged weapons as melee weapons. Also, since they're in a group, if you get past the onslaught of arrows, they'll just gang up on you and take you down w/in seconds.. (remember you also had to come through a blizzard to get to me, so they're already VERY weak, and then taking armor penetration from the arrows. I'm mainly in critical shot or crippling shot mode w/ them and rapid fire is enabled..) HAHAHAHAHH!!

Just watched your vid again... SAY MAN.. You're running around w/ a lot of "injuries" you could prolly be a lot stronger.. USE YOUR INJURY KITS!!! Everytime you "die" in battle, you don't actually die, you get an injury instead, that's why you get up if EVERYONE in your party doesn't die. But if you mouseover your injuries, you'll see that it's hindering your character's skillpoints in some way..
Get rid of those, you'll kick even more A$$!!!!! That's what the injury kits are for.. Lesser fix one injury, Greater fixes 3.. If you go back to camp, that heals you completely as well..
Didn't know if you knew this.. Just watching your vid over again.

The kewl thing about this game is that they also have the level generator that THEY actually even used to create the game.. There's already groups out there making their own expansions. You can do anything w/in the game using this toolset, even make voiceovers and do cutscenes..
Dragon Age Toolset
Did you get all of the Downloadable content as well? There's 2 addons already that were released when the game launched.
Dragon Age Addons
What class/type character did you use? Warrior/Mage/Rogue? Human/Dwarf/Elf?
My character slept w/ the lady in waiting in the castle the first night I played the game.. LMAO!!!
Mine are getting to that point (my female warrior, and lileana)... She's "interested" by her approval rating... Alistair has gotten certain upgrades to constitution and damage due to his feelings for my warrior and her "leadership"..
Kris, on a side note.. THANKS FOR PICKING UP THE BUMPER BIDDNESS... I was scared out of my mind not knowing where I could get a replacement K2.. Thanks bro.. Hear you're doing an excellent job as well..

Wish I had time.. I'm just now going to the circle of mages tower.. Didn't have time to play at all yesterday. I plan to play it again (already have 2 other characters made).. The beginning story is different depending on what class and race you are.. Also plan to be completely mean to EVERYONE to see how that changes the story.. You can also say for instance decide to help the werewolves instead of the elves and see how that alters the end fight too.. There's replayability in it..
Sounds like a great excuse to me man... I also got Left 4 Dead 2 and the Creative Fatality MKII headset, so we can talk noise while we kill zombies.. LMAO!!! Frys had EVERYTHING on sale this weekend.. Prolly still has some good sales.
