Anyone here with a PS3 plan on picking this game up?

I played the open beta a week ago and liked it. This is going to be the first FPS game I've played in probably a decade. I'm more of an RTS guy and I played PC games for the past 5 years, but I picked up 2 PS3's over the holidays and I feel I'm going to be playing MAG for a while.

 

twalls had mentioned this game. I'm still engulfed in MW2 at the moment.

I don't have a PS3, I'm waiting for Mass Effect 2 that comes out on that same day personally..

 

I read that post, all of those posts were prior to the last beta so I have no idea what may or may not have changed since those people played it.

I've never played COD4MW2 and I can't stand RPG's and most people I've talked to are either RPG fans or too involved with Call of Duty. I played a little bit of COD MW on my PC, it's alright. Nothing that sucked me into playing continuously.

I may buy a copy of COD4MW2 once I can find one on craigslist for under $40 but until then I'm going to play MAG.

I played the demo for the new God of War III and Army of 2, Army of 2 was annoying and although the graphics for GoW were really awesome, I don't find myself drawn to single player action games.

do u guys play anything beside cod i know is a good game and all and mag is a very big game for online next there is going to be alot of lag in the game but do anyone play socom in here?

i played the crap out of the MAG beta and i will quite dissappointed. i dont like the Unreal style graphics and the overall gameplay. As well the game is rather confusing... especially the community interface, which is not user friendly (although they will probably improve that in the final version). The Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta was, however, possibly the best fps i've played on ps3. the beta was online only, but it was NOTHING like the first Bad Company, which i disliked. I was really sad when they shut down the beta, i highly recommend getting that.

I purchased MW2 over the weekend. I’m currently lvl 17 and I find the game a pain in the *** at times. The maps are very compact and it seems way to easy to get camped. It’s very frustrating at times. The interface for configuring your weapons is stupid too…too many pages to drill down to and it’s not very intuitive with regards to finding out if you can put more than one part on the gun or not.

It’s alright, I just think I like the MAG interface better. The matchmaking is stupid too, but I guess nobody can get that perfect.

 

I will be playing the hell out of Starcraft when it comes out.

I played WoW for a few years, got bored of raiding all the time, played arena, got tired of that. I played DoTA on battle.net for a long time too, then got a beta key for League of Legends, played that, then a beta key for Heroes of Newerth and I currently play that. I'm more of an RTS guy I guess.

I'll pretty much play anything, but I don't really "get into" just normal action games anymore.

Civilization was fun.
