You may need to take the upper a arm loose from the knuckle. Loosen the nut. Hit it with a hammer to break it free but make sure the nut is still on otherwise you will mess up threads

Awesome got it going but now the springs are in the way on the coils so I can't put the bolts back in for the upper arms...running into a lot of dumb issues!

You must have bolted your shock up before you did your arm?

Also, depending on what tires you had, spacers or not, and how low you were dropped, your camber could have been worse than mine (I'm -3 degrees all the way around after my alignment)..

You also have to take into account:
1. the condition of your tires before dropping (mine were brand new),
2. how much driving you do on a regular basis (when I was driving my car, it was never more than 30 miles a day, and that was before I threw on coils.. after coils, I was driving around 5 miles a day, literally to the gym and back),
3. the atmosphere your tires were in (my car is garaged most of the time, so the environment doesn't get the opportunity to affect my tires directly.. Increase and decrease in temperature can affect the rubber as well as the internal pressure of your tires which can aid in decay)...

But most importantly your tires were probably most affected by the toe being off... I guarantee your tires were working against one another, and on a long drive from one state to another, that was ample time for them to give way..

I tell everyone what I was told when I dropped my ride.. Make an appointment for an alignment 1 week from the date you install your coils (the one week is necessary to let them settle a little, otherwise you'd need another alignment after the initial settling...taking the car any earlier than a week is just a waste of an alignment, and you'll then be driving a misaligned car and not know it.) 1 WEEK
I probabaly had half of the tread left when i put them on.
Back and forth to work is probably a total of 30 miles. Im getting a Daily once i get back though so i can focus on her and minimize the miles on her too.
I have the 18s and i didnt put any spacers on, but as soon as i get back im going to put some on when the camber kit goes on, im about to search to see what size i need, even though im in the market for the 19 rays perferably PC'd black, that way i have summer/winter sets.
I so wish i had a garage. My car has never seen a garage and im the third owner. Once i get back and move out of my apt after a few months that is a must when looking for a new place. With that said it has taken a toll on my paint as well. Looking to get a full wax and buff done at the body shop, which should help with the sun spots wher i debaged her too.
I know I should have got an alignment a week or so after but i figured i was about to leave for my deployment so i didnt bother, and i paid for that decision lol

changed the LEDs in my clear corners from WLED-W-90 to WLED-CW5 (Super Wide Viewing Angle bulb uses 4 radially mounted LEDs aiming out the sides and one High Flux LED on top) Sooo much better! Yeah, still not strips but some day.

Also changed license plate lights from a cheap version of WLED-NW6 to WLED-HP5 (5 High Power SMD LEDs). Hella bright!

Actually on my other car I took out the instrument cluster and replaced the lights with red LEDs since they were mostly burned out anyway. Is this fairly easy to do on a G?
