You just need a good welding helmet with either the right lens or if you have an automatic darkening one like me have it to the right setting. Hardest thing these days to weld on our cars is that the sheet metal is so thin. Its a fine line to get penetration and not start burning the metal. Just takes time and patience. After the welding is done the next hard part is to grind down without warping the metal.

yeah yeah... you'd be surprised at how much I'm Not paying. I'm giving the ol' paint gun a shot tonight. I will attempt to paint the underside of the hood. I figured that I can't totally destroy it. My buddy has been walking me through some of the process. I've been without the car for awhile but I've been involved through most of the process. It's been fun and nerve racking. Not gonna quit the day job. that's for sure.

Im just messin with you John. Its good that you are getting involved. Most of my customers could careless how much work it takes just that it looks good and for the cheapest price they can get. Its crazy that the pickiest people are the cheapest. lol Its really convienient that its at your work so your close. Oh well back to my project of another quad projector retro
