[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?
easy fix true but still probably 200-300 dollar fix unfortunately!
100.00 for new rack and pinion...probably 100.00 if not more for the new lines being made...
Yea, I know SS lines are obviously stronger, but I'm not sure they're going to disapate the heat like an aluminum line would. I could be wrong, just throwing that idea out there
james, tranny is getting fixed next week. 145$ in parts, but that includes strong pivot ball thing, SS clutch lines, and new tranny, clutch, and diff fluid. first time doing diff fluid.
plus labor, i'm out a few hundred bucks, but might as well do it right. Wish i had the $ for a new clutch and fw, but i'll just beat the crap outta my stock ones till they screw up.

Chris, you can cut and swedge the line rather than getting new lines made. It's much cheaper and will be less time consuming.
We did it all the time on the F-16 with 4000 psi hydro lines.
