a little quick advise

In the car on my way to look at this 98 montero sport for a friend any thing I should look listen for to see if its a lemon?

If Yes then) Seek other transportation.

Seriously a 98 Montero is gonna be a piece of junk in 99% of cases.

+1, i don't see too many of them in good running condition.

go for those 2002 and older SR5 4runners...1998 even. Ive heard even if the timing belt breaks on these engines, it doesn't do any internal damage. ...don't quote me on that though, i just heard.

Thanks guys this unfourtunetly isn't my choice and I've heard similar things about that car too. Thing is for 3K or cheaper other then a maxima I don't know what else to recomend. Ill take suggestions though she's trying to buy one by this weekend.

That's why I refrained from even replying.. I was going to ask if you had another choice of vehicles.. Mitsubishi is not reliable.. period.

Man those older 4Runners are pretty much bulletproof. Great trucks.

Just got an email from Toyota, 0% for Tier 1+ to 3 on 10 models Go get something new :lol:
