I'm guessing you either have a different kind than what we got or you didn't open it correctly. I put one in 3 different cars yesterday and they all smell great now...i could smell it almost instantly.

so you got the CS-X3 unit (the rectangular one)? If so, you just take the plastic wrap off of the insert, adjust the little slider on the top of it to open or close the slits, and then put it inside of the plastic housing. that's all there is to it. the smell is pretty strong, so if you can't smell it then there's definitely something wrong.

i got that. took it out. undid the packaging. opened it up so the oily scenty square is there. and put the cover with the holes back on it.

mind u... im in oklahoma, where we don't have a constant 70 degree weather here like it was back in california

ah ok, you got the other kind. i've heard it's not quite as strong, but i'm still surprised you can't smell it. did you peel the entire cover off, or just a portion? i haven't actually used this kind, so i can't really tell you much man.

I didn't even remove the plastic off of my CS-X3 squash refill.. I just tore a hole in one corner, and opened the vents up through the plastic.. Put it back in the container, and my car is smelling LOVELY now..
