Another LED Swap, pics inside!

I just finished up a complete LED swap for 'Cat' on these forums. She wanted all white, I got as close as I could, interesting how the LCD's turned blue when they had white lights behind them.

wow.. do all of them require soldering? or some just led bulb swaps?

they are all soldered on, the only bulbs were the keyring, the ash tray, and the lighter ring. I soldered in some 5mm LED's with resistors in their place.

mine in red / white in case you didn't know

and some other colors I tested while I had it apart





ultra violet (the picture really doesn't capture the essence of the UV, it looks much more glow purple in real life)

Wow the red looks so good.

BTW Rob where did you order them? The red leds that is. I just had to get the plcc-2 ones and alot were the 4 pin ones so i had to place them kinda to the side a lil on the climate control and there are some kinda dull spots due to it. Also might be that they are just some ebay leds.

Also i just saw that oznium finally has the SUPER small ones that are in the radio face so though i might try those out.

yeah I haven't found a way around off setting them. Although I didn't notice any spotting.

the small ones are 805 smd's

thats pretty badass my brother works at radioshack and they sell all leds for pretty cheap and resistors if you guys let me know ill try to hook u up with discounts
