actually have a pop charger already... all I really need now is donations to help cover the dyno fee. I'm estimating 3 hours at $85 which is $255 (this is what the shop is charging me for using the dyno). not even including all the time and effort I'm putting in to this.

donating for the project is cool, but donating for your labor is not cool. It's your own ideal and project, not ours.


what I don't get is..

What if intake A, puts out more power than intake B. What does that prove to a stock G or a semi modded G, that doesn't have the same mods as you?


I believe this project is solely based on what intake(s) work best for your car.

I understand if you feel that way, I was just thinking this would help out the community as a whole, getting hard data for various intake setup's. In no way am I charging anyone for my work.

the fee listed is what I am paying for using the dyno.

I'm not against this testing.. I find it interesting and I'll be watching this thread.

I know some people have had good and bad relations with Jeremy Tibbs, but when he was upgrading his stock car. He tested & dynoed a lot of intakes on his car. He had full exhaust etc. He kept all things equal when doing the testing. The only two that improved power significantly were the STOCK BOX WITH K&N Filter and the Stillen... With those setups and all the bolt ons and tuning he had, he was able to get his NA barely over 300HP. I'm not sure if it was WHP etc.

Maybe you should contact him to find out which ones he tested so you can test the ones he didn't. It would save time and money.

OR, if you wanted to do this on bone stock vehicles, ignore me! That would make the most sense to leave out the confounding factors.

Do you mean Stillen tube/K&N drop in together?
