I totally agree with you guys but I am going to pass on that job. I have already made a name for myself in the district that I am in and am at the top of the list for the next promotion. I am in good with my area director and store manager.
The promotion would be for an assistant store manager position. I know assistant store manager sounds lame but it actually is somewhat prestigious in corporate att retail stores. I sat down with my boss later tonight and we chatted it up about the store. He told me that other opportunities will be arising in the near future and it will be closer to home.
He also said it doesn't look bad at all if I don't take the position. I realllllly appreciate everyones input, you guys are all brilliant.

Mine has been really fast. I had issues before I switched over to http://www.opendns.com/
Check it out, it really works well when you change. I have 30MB down but Time Warners DNS servers suck. So does Verizons DNS servers. You will really notice a huge difference in site load times.

And as for the job stuff...
When I got out of the military I was making 58k a year with all the benefits and housing allowance in SC...
When I started working for Lockheed, I was at 50k...in a SoCal economy...
I took a huge hit but I sucked it up and I have since moved in to a better and much higher paying salary. Taking a step back to move higher, faster was the best decision I've ever made...
Plus, I get to have facial hair and no more deployments
