Oh and its also the reason that even HKS's top of the line light weight titanium racing exhaust is a y-pipe to single exhaust......just sayin.
The ARK grip does seem like a better design.

Quote: What I find humorous its the fact that there isn't a single shred of proof that one of these dual exhaust's makes any more power than a well designed y-pipe to single exhausts. The only major deference is the sound and the weight. Hks churns these exhausts out at a pretty good rate. And yes your paying for the name. I think it truly is just a quality control issue....besides if you bought it new you paid too damn much
As Tony from Motordyne says is that the design of the y-pipe is key and that there are no scavenging affects after the y-pipe. Single or dual shouldn't really matter as long as there isn't any restriction. http://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhau...k-for-n-a.html

There is a dyno somewhere comparing a dual exhaust to a Nismo which is essentially a single with just a dual out muffler.

I have the ARK Grip V2 exhaust.. It is a true dual cat back with the X pipe... I def noticed gains when I got it and it sounds amazing.. infact the sound got better over time.

I think I am one of few with it. I can't wait to get a Berk HFC put on it because it makes the already great sounding exhaust that much better!

Simple answer: Looks and the name. Hence why I prefer sticking to a custom exhaust.
