A mod to your G should never ride on the outcome of a bet....at least not a mod of this magnitude.

Agreed, I would have regret doing this if I didn't take time in covering up the G and not do coats.
Daylight came and I'm not gonna lie, it turned out better than I thought it would, no overspray at all... What makes a good paint job is quality time and painter besides cheap paint and no primer. If I had the time in the world to do this then I will at the end to peel it off lol.
btw Stephen, I had the whole car covered, the paper in the pictures was to cover the cracks, so no overspray at all.

If the paint does get messed up you can just rattle can it flat black like that IS300 and put some type of graphics on it. Then it will be "unique" and to everyones liking.

Its a shame people dig on creativity.

Well I'm sure it's not so much the creativity, but it is the process on getting there. Since our G's are considered a more "prestigious" car than others, apparently, the cheaper way of doing things is looked down on.

In fact the only forums that talks about plastidip is the g35 forum, lexus, and BMW. These are the top result if you search plastidip car.
We also say putting $2000 rims on a g35 cheap unless they are name brand, so if sherwin Williams made a plastidip it would count as not cheap? Don't be hypocritical.

As for the first post I said I also don't like flat black paint nor plastidip

Oh no just because its the top of the search results doesnt mean its only those forums. Also, DSM forums, civic, vw, many other websites are talking about it. I dont care if plastidip is more expensive than paint, its still ghetto.

wow... doesn't look bad in pics, but just knowing you are putting in all that time and effort, just to have someone come by and peel it off kinda sucks.
