Its time to get the clutch replaced..
I did do a lazy mans search before posting, I went three pages in to a few articles and wasn’t able to draw any definitive conclusions.
Im shopping around today for pricing and clutch kits and could use some suggestions. I’m looking for a very complete kit ( flywheel throw out bearing clutch plate any other suggested parts from you guys ) The main things that I am considering are:
1) I would really like a clutch kit that is not incredibly noisy if that’s even possible
2) Price is a factor I would like to stay around the 1500's if possible out the door *I dont know how reasonable that is *
3) I do drive a bit spiritedly (is that a word?) and don’t see myself doing a lot of track racing etc. I wil be going forced induction some day so I would want something strong enough to hold up to the extra power ( goal would be roughly 300-350 to the wheels total. )
4) Streetability would be preferred, Im not afraid of a little more pedal pressure though.
5) If anyone has insight to pricing ranges for labor and parts that would be great as well.
I apologize in advance if I overlooked a thread I know how irritating that is to some people.

the Z1motorsports clutch will be noisy....it uses a 13.7lb flywheel. It will work great, but it will be noisy. I dont know how much time im going to have to install it for you. but you can bring it to the shop im starting to do part time work for. GSS Speed shop in carrollton.
My best recomendation if you dont want a clutch that is too noisy, use a heavier flywheel. ACT streetlite 17.2lbs, Exedy 19lbs, Nismo 19lbs, F1racing 19lbs(yes the ebay brand, and no i cant vouch for quality) Southbend billet steel 21lbs
any of those in combination with the Z1motorsports mild performance clutch would be a decent set up. Spring for the upgraded disk tho.
I personally have the ACT streetlite and and Z1motorsports mild performance clutch (without the upgraded disk) I lvoe my setup. It started to slip recently after i swapped in my 3.7 gears, but only in first. Thats why i recomend the upgraded disk.
