Possibly moving to Richardson

Hey guys so I am in the hiring Process with Rockwell Collins in Richardson, and if all goes well I will be moving there this June. I am not exactly sure where their facility is located. But I wanted to get some info on the area hoped you guys could help me out.

I will probably be buying a house. I am single no kids. What is a good area around Richardson I should look at for a place? I have been useing CL to find listings. is there a better site I should use?

Thanks

I used to live in Richardson when I was younger. It is definitely a nice area and fairly quiet for the most part. It all depends on where you live.

I can personally recommend the area right around the intersection of Plano Road and Renner. It is very close to the major highways (75 and George Bush Tollway) and the neighborhoods are nice. One of the neighborhoods right there is on a golf course if that's your thing. There is also a huge park and nature path back there which helps seclude the area.

Good luck man!

Richardson is beautiful for the most part, lived there for about 3 years while i was in college. Only bad part i can think of is east of the coit/spring valley intersection and around where richardson square mall is/used to be lol. Other than that your golden hard to find a bad spot. Close to the college is nice

I live in richardson now. Anywhere north of the intersection of Spring valley and plano is good. Id say the nicer places to live are west of the UTD campus.

Did you ever find a place Chuck? The Post Eastside apartments are decent off Campbell/75. I have a few friends that live there.

you could also expand your search to south plano/farmers branch. lots of nice houses that arent badly priced. there seems to be a lot nicer landscaping throughout those burbs.

richardson is a good central area, too. i would check realtor.com, we also have a couple realtors that are g drivers.
