Thanks for the review. Seems to be inline with what others are saying and what I would expect. It is definitely not for me (I checked one out at Sewell a few weeks ago identical to the one you reviewed), but I think it does have some appeal. I really hope they find a way to build off this to really make into something.

Great review but IMO I wouldn't get a IPL for almost 60k. It's still a g37 with only 20 more hp. Now if we were talking about 400 hp than that would be a different story. For 60k you can get a lot of cars that are better and more equip than a IPL.

But it sure does look sexy.

For around $10k more over than the G 6speed and poorly designed body kit......sorry...I'd rather buy a reg 6 speed and spend $10 in aftermarket mods....think Infiniti completely missed the mark on the IPL series....sad to see that.

I went to Sewell Infiniti yesterday for a follow-up work on the G.
They have 2 black/dark-purple IPLs fully loaded selling for around $55k.
I sat in one, I liked it alot! The body kit looks pretty good in person. I took a pic, will post later.
Just a drop and wider wheels and I would be set!
But, JD does make a valid point. Paying 10k for a factory body kit and like 18 more hp(?) is kinda steep.

JD, that's definitely a valid point. I'd most likely go the same route.

Syshs - $55k seems a bit high. The tester I had was fully loaded as far as I could tell and stickered for a bit over $51k. A 6MT starts at $48k. For reference, if you load up a regular 6MT coupe with similar options that come standard on the IPL (tech pkg, perf exhaust, etc.), you easily end up at $50k.

(for the record, the '11 NISMO I had the next week made me completely forget about the IPL. The IPL seemed boring in comparison.)

I've just been lucky to make some good connections in the industry and to have a website doing fairly well. I think my high involvement in social media doesn't hurt either.
